First, Uber took over ride-sharing, then Uber took over Taxi’s, and now Uber poses several other threats including Uber Cargo, Uber Delivery, and the potential of autonomous vehicles (eliminating the need for public transportation).

Uber was developed in 2009, but didn’t start picking up a large amount of business until late 2013 into 2014. It is now argued that Uber is the preferred method of transportation for many- despite their surge charges and legal cases against them.

Uber tested out a service titled “Uber Cargo” in Hong Kong, which is a service of cargo vehicles that pick up requested loads of items and deliver them to a destination.
